Michael Betcherman – Writer

Michael Betcherman is a Toronto-based writer with numerous credits in both documentary and drama. He was the creator/writer/producer/director of The Team, a documentary series about a college basketball team which was broadcast on CBC.

Michael also wrote and produced Was Justice Denied?, a 90 minute documentary special on the wrongly convicted which aired on Turner Network Television. His other documentary credits include numerous episodes of 72 Hours: True Crime, and Exhibit A: Secrets of Forensic Science.

Michael’s prime time dramatic credits include Street Legal and Side Effects. His feature film script Still Waters captured the Gold Award for Best Thriller at the Houston International Film & Video Festival (Worldfest Houston).
Michael has also written two groundbreaking online novels, The Daughters of Freya and Suzanne, which are published by emailmystery. The novels are written in email form, and emailed to readers in serialized installments. He has also written for The Walrus magazine, The Literary Review of Canada, and Red Herring magazine.
